Access

We are happy to answer written enquiries about the stocks at saai. Please send your question by e-mail. As a rule, you will receive a reply within ten days. We ask for your understanding that we have to limit our replies to general information on relevant archive material and cannot carry out detailed research for you.

A visit to the saai is only possible by appointment, as most of the archive material is stored in external depots. Requested archive material can usually be made available for you in the user room within ten days. The saai secretariat and user room are located on KIT Campus South at Kaiserstraße 8  (building 10.32).

Please refer to the user regulations user regulations for details of use. If you require reproductions of archive materials, we can order these for you for a fee according to our price list.

Public museums and collections have the option of borrowing documents from the saai for an exhibition. You can find initial information on this in our information for loans.
