Egon Eiermann Digital. A digitisation project for Egon Eiermann's work archive

Egon Eiermann's work archive is one of the most important architectural estates both nationally and internationally.

The total volume of the collection amounts to over 30,000 archive items, consisting of plans, sketches, glass plate, small and large format negatives and paper prints. In addition, there are a number of different types of sources, such as letters, files and index cards as well as some pieces of furniture. The aim of the ‘Egon Eiermann Digital’ project is to systematically digitise archival sources from Egon Eiermann's work archive, taking into account the technical possibilities and the respective copyrights.

The Egon Eiermann Digital digitisation project at the saai was largely made possible thanks to donations from the Egon Eiermann Gesellschaft e.V. and the couple Peter and Waltraud Betsche.
